Effective Date: July 1, 2025
Omegamino, LLC (“Omegamino”, “we”, “us”) supplies laboratory research materials to research buyers in the United States. This notice sets out what we record about the people and organisations who use this site, why we hold it, and what we do with it. It applies only to our United States operations and only to research individuals and organisations buying for research use. The site is not built for personal, household or consumer use. Our materials are not for administration to people or animals, and we do not knowingly gather or keep information belonging to minors or to general consumers.
Access is intended for institutions, laboratories and professionals carrying out scientific and laboratory work. Using the site for personal, non-research or medical ends breaches both this notice and our Terms of Use. We do not sell for human or animal consumption, and we neither process nor store personal health data, biometric data, or the other special categories that consumer privacy statutes single out.
Opening an account or placing an order creates a record containing your name, the institution you are associated with, an email address, billing and delivery addresses, and the transaction details needed to take payment. Separately, we log browser data, IP addresses and technical identifiers that keep the platform working and secure. Payment credentials are captured directly by our payment processors rather than by us; complete card numbers and CVV codes are never retained on our systems.
We use what we hold to establish that a buyer is eligible to purchase for research purposes, to pick and dispatch orders, to correspond about transactions, to keep the platform running well, and to meet our legal obligations. Contact details may be used for administrative messages about your account, transactional notices, and compliance updates. We do not run consumer marketing against this data, and we do not sell, rent or license it to anyone for promotional use.
Basic cookies and analytics help us watch system performance, understand usage patterns, and spot technical faults or fraudulent behaviour. They are not used for behavioural profiling and we do not run retargeting advertising.
When you use the site, we and providers acting for us may record your approximate geographic location, IP address, browser type, internet service provider, the pages you arrived from and left by, clickstream data, and device details such as hardware model and identifiers, device type, operating system version, the type and content of your request, and the date and time. Information may also be held locally on your own device through browser storage and application caches.
The methods used include cookies, web beacons, pixel tags and other anonymous identifiers. A cookie is a small piece of data stored on your computer, phone or other device. A web beacon reports whether a particular page was viewed or an email opened. A pixel tag is placed inside a page or message to track activity and is commonly paired with cookies. Anonymous identifiers are random character strings serving the same purpose where cookies are unavailable, as on some mobile devices. Together these let us recognise that you are signed in, present features according to your preferences, understand how you are using the site, and assemble general usage information.
Browsers can be configured to restrict or refuse cookies, though parts of the site may then work less well.
Several browsers, Safari, Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer among them, offer a “Do Not Track” signal indicating that a visitor does not wish their activity tracked. Where an operator chooses to act on that signal, it may hold back from collecting certain personal information. Not every browser offers the option, and no industry standard yet defines what such a signal means. Omegamino may act on these signals; many operators do not. Background is available at allaboutdnt.com.
Limited information reaches third-party providers who support order fulfilment, secure payment processing, technical operations or legal compliance. Those providers are under confidentiality obligations and may not use it for marketing or for anything unrelated to research supply. We will also disclose information where law, a court order or a regulator requires it, including in response to law enforcement, or where we need to prevent suspected fraud or misuse.
We apply commercially reasonable measures against unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure: encrypted transport, access limited by role, and vendors held to recognised security standards. Administrative, technical and physical safeguards are maintained in proportion to the data involved.
No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the privacy or security of your information or of any voice or data transmission, since third parties may intercept or access them unlawfully, and we are not responsible where privacy settings or security measures are circumvented. You therefore use the site at your own risk and should not assume that information or transmissions will always remain private; we do not warrant the adequacy or performance of our privacy settings or security measures. Where an unauthorised third party defeats those measures, we will not be liable for damages arising directly or indirectly from that party’s ability to view, use or distribute your information.
Account and transaction records are held for as long as legal, regulatory and operational requirements demand, which includes accounting, audit, tax and contractual recordkeeping. Once no longer needed, records are securely destroyed or stripped of identifying detail under ordinary data lifecycle practice. We reserve the right to share or otherwise disclose such information to third parties at any time for any lawful purpose, without notice to you and without compensation.
Eligible research buyers may ask to see or correct their account information by writing to our compliance team. We may verify the identity and eligibility of anyone making such a request. Because we operate solely business-to-business in the research sector, we do not action consumer deletion requests made under statutes written for general consumer platforms.
We do not sell to children and do not knowingly collect or hold personal data belonging to anyone under 21. The site is not aimed at minors or at the general public, and access is limited to verified institutional and professional buyers. Any account opened using false information will be closed and the associated data removed from our systems.
This notice may be revised to reflect changes in how we operate, in our legal obligations, or in our data practices. Where a change is material, the updated notice will appear on this page carrying a new effective date. Continuing to use the site after that point indicates acceptance.
Questions about this notice, or about our data practices generally, can be put in writing to our compliance officer:
